Regarding the gas tax:
I was reading recently that the local Chamber of Commerce is once again supporting a tax hike on the consumers of New Hampshire.
I would have to disagree with this, as we did a show on local access television “Legislators Lounge.” You can find the episode on YouTube. New Hampshire has the best roads in New England.
I don’t understand why the Chamber of Commerce would want to support a tax hike that would limit spending in the community. New Hampshire does not have public transportation. Any new taxes would come right out of the pockets of consumers and taxpayers.
In these hard economic times, the worst thing we could do is raise taxes, especially taxes on essential commodities such as gasoline.
