To the editor:

I agreed wholeheartedly with the recent column by Jay Ambrose, with one exception: I do believe (very strongly) that Barack Obama was very involved in the counterintelligence plot against President Trump — starting with the exoneration of Hillary Clinton and her email scandal, all the way up to the CIA/FBI counterintelligence plot to destroy a duly elected American president.

Does anyone actually believe that Loretta Lynch, Obama's attorney general, would meet former President Bill Clinton on a plane in Phoenix without Obama's knowledge (or consent) during the FBI investigation of his wife's email scandal?

Does anybody actually believe that former CIA Director John Brennan and FBI Director James Comey, both Trump-haters, would conduct an illegal counterintelligence operation against American citizens to set up Trump’s collusion with the Russian government without Obama's knowledge?

In my opinion, Brennan, Comey, Japes Clapper and Lynch were the puppets, and Obama was the puppet master.

Whether Attorney General William Barr, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz or U.S. Attorney John Durham reach the same conclusion is speculative.

I'm old enough to remember Watergate. There was a Republican Tennessee senator at that time named Howard Baker who delivered one of the most immortal quotes of all time, referring to Richard Nixon: "What I want to know is what the president knew and when he knew it.” Ditto for me and Barack Obama.
