To the editor:
So, let me get this straight: The powers that be in North Andover can’t wait to spend almost $9 million on a lot in town and fill it with things ranging from the frivolous to wretchedly excessive, a lot where all neighbors are adamantly against the project.
Yet, they frown at the idea of spending a few million less to ensure that the iconic Stevens Estate be preserved forever.
Isn’t this the point of community preservation?
Where are the priorities?
