Bill Burt gets his revenge. Sort of.

The Eagle-Tribune executive sports editor rebounded with a "good" week after two down weeks at the beginning of the pro football season.

Burt correctly picked 10 winners out of the 16 games in what was another difficult week as half of the home teams were beaten over the weekend.

This week was another banner week with 355 entries, including 202 on-line entries. You can go to eagletribune.com and enter on-line each week.

Only 27 entries picked more than 10 winners.

Each week a maximum of 10 T-shirts are awarded for those who pick more winners than Burt and are closest to the the first tiebreaker (points the Patriots score). The second tiebreaker is amount of correct selections, which was used this week.

All of the winning entries this week were within four points of the Patriots' point total (38).

Here are the Week 3 winners:

Robert Bryan of North Andover, Don Lefebvre of Methuen, Mike Xenakis of North Andover, Russ Emery of Salem, N.H., Fran Rand of North Andover, Mike McPhee of Salem, N.H., Mike Warren of Salem, N.H., Ryan Slauter of Windham, N.H., Bryan Pedato of Lawrence, John Mainella of Plaistow, N.H. and Sylvia Muldowney of Haverhill.
